2.1.2: Regular update
Version 2.1.2 adds a new tool to screen imported files to check for passwords or other issues that can cause the file to be unreadable. This function can be found under the Tools menu at the top of the interface and will screen PDFs and Office documents.

📄 Office-to-PDF Conversion Support
When processing documents, Mega-Bates can now:
- Detect installed Microsoft Office applications
- Convert Word/PowerPoint files to PDF automatically
This expands support for non‑PDF source documents and streamlines mixed‑format workflows. Requires Microsoft Office to be installed.
↩️ Undo / Redo Support
A new undo/redo engine lets you revert designer edits as you work.

🎨 New Themes + Live Theme Switching
Choose the look that fits your workspace.
Version 2.1.1 introduces five visual themes:
- Default

You can now switch themes at runtime, and Mega-Bates remembers your preference automatically.
🧭 Guided “Quick Tour”
A new in‑app tutorial introduces key features and UI locations through short, helpful prompts.
Ideal for onboarding new users or rediscovering features you’ve missed.

- Groups: Allow you to connect other data elements and adjust their justifications together within the zone designer.
- Import Folders: You can now import folders!
- Rebuild Folder Structures: New output option to rebuild folder structures that were used to import documents.
- Multi-Zone Indexes: You can now include as many zones as you’d like in the index CSV file!
- Output Filename Decorations: Add a prefix or suffix to the filename of the outputted documents.
🛠️ Improved Editors
Many field editors have been redesigned with a more consistent look and better usability.
These changes make field editing clearer, faster, and more predictable.
A new live preview is also present in zone designers and the wizard! This will show you exactly what your zone will look like as applied to a document.

❗Any config files generated by this version (or newer) will not be readable by previous versions of Mega-Bates. This new version, however, can read configs generated by previous versions.
2.0.15: UI style and workflow improvements:
– If a document errors out during processing, it is now copied to an Errors directory in the output for easy troubleshooting
– Handled a situation where the source page was too small to handle the added data and original content. Page size will automatically be increased for pages that fall in this category rather than erroring out
– Added various message boxes to improve ease of use
– Output to letter page size is now the default behavior, but page scaling can still be disabled if not desired
– Fixed an issue where Excel wasn’t displaying some special characters correctly when opening an index CSV file
